For the past 3 years I have attended the International Foodservice Editorial Council (IFEC) conference for Spread the Mustard. This year the annual conference IFEC was held Madison, Wisconsin from October 25-30, 2019. IFEC brings together editors and marketing communications professionals from leading print and digital magazines in the foodservice and food manufacturing industries, as well as manufacturers, restaurants, research firms and other organizations that drive foodservice.

Representing Spread the Mustard I organized sponsorship which included an exhibit in the Chef Showcase. I worked with award-winning Chef Jonathon Hunter who prepared a Chinese-style Sausage with Mustard in a Mustard Cream Sauce topped with Mustard Breadcrumbs and Pickled Mustard Seeds. It was delicious and one of the favorite items at the Chef Showcase! Well done Chef Hunter.

I also participated in the Editor Forum, where we met one-on-one with the editors of food service/food manufacturing magazines and their digital teams to encourage them to write about mustard. Now that I am back in Saskatchewan I have been following up and it looks promising that mustard will be profiled in several magazines.
